System Inside The System

In every building construction, sufficient quantity of water should be available at required locations to meet various needs of the occupants that’s why a plumber is hired for the job. A Thorneside plumber performs complex calculations and planning for the water supply need by the occupants of the building this is one of the responsibilities of an expert plumber. Water must be properly computed before the construction begins. The computation of the size of the pipes and how the water is transmitted above or below the ground, It is not only the water supply that needs to be focus on but also the drainage facilities to drain the waste water through pipes.

Our house plumbing system comprises the whole system of pipe fittings and appliances used for water supply and drainage. The water supply and drainage system uses different type of pipes for different purposes. The plumber separates this two plumbing system by using different set of pipes. Let me elaborate more about your plumbing system.

Supply or Service System

In this supply system different supply or service pipes are used. These pipes are use for the distribution of water supply to the plumbing system of the house or the structure. Copper, GI pipes, polythene pipes, and lead pies are commonly used as service pipes. Thorneside plumber uses copper pipes when the ground water is highly corrosive to metals. Copper is also known for its strength and ductility. GI pipe are much cheaper and economical compare to copper pipes, but they are corroded easily in soft and acid waters. Compare to copper pipes GI pipe is much stronger, this pipes are use in places where chances of corrosion is less. Polythene pipes or plastic pipes are used for cold water services. In some ways plastic pipes are preferred by other plumbers because of some advantages like ease of installation, cheap in cost, do not require treading, and resistant to bacterial scale. And lastly Lead pipes; it has a high corrosion resistance, flexibility and hydraulic coefficient of flow. The only problem with lead pipes is the lead content in water that may lead to poisoning effects so it is not preferred by plumbers.

Drainage System

Inside our houses waste water is produces from different places like bathroom, kitchen, laundry area, and others. There are different pipe arranged to dispose these waste water. Drain pipes or Waste disposal pipe uses sets of pipe system for different purposes. Soil pipe, waste water pipe, rain water pipe, vents pipe, and Anti-siphon age pipe are types of waste water pipes that can been in our home’s drainage system.  Soil pipe carries human excreta from water closet to septic tank. Only the vent pipe is connected to soil pipe. Waste water pipe carries only liquid waste from kitchens, wash basins and bathroom.  No human excreta flow through this pipe lines. The pipe that carries rainwater from roof during rains is called rainwater pipe. Sometimes water collected from this pipe is use for gardening or farming. Vent pipe provides ventilation purposes to facilitate the exit of foul gases into the atmosphere. Anti-Siphonage pipe is installed for the purpose of preserving the water seal of traps in drainage system.

Your plumbing system must be maintained at all times, this will prevent major plumbing issues in the future.
